Joseph (Joe) Lackey was one of Sobe's brothers. He never married,
and according to his gravestone in North Dexter Cemetery, he died January 31, 1902 at the age of 26*.

Family tradition states that Joe, Molly and their brother Charlie lived together. This must have been in or near Dexter, TX.

There is also a gravestone in the Moss cemetery (southeast of Era, TX) for Charles C. Lackey, born February 8, 1895, died May 9, 1896*. Could this child belong to Charles C. Lackey, widower of Fanny Stokes Lackey (killed in 1885 in Blanco County, TX)?

Molly kept house and cooked for the family after their parents were killed. She was so loved by the town people that all the stores closed on the day of her funeral. She was known as an excellent housekeeper.
